We are recruiting!
We are seeking teachers and schools to take part in next round of the research project 'Linguistics in MFL' led by academics at the universities of Anglia Ruskin, Birmingham, Bristol and Westminster. The project's main goal is to assess the potential for the inclusion of linguistic topics in MFL curricula. The pilot involves delivering a 4-lesson linguistics-oriented mini-course in Summer Term 2020 to MFL classes (related to French, German or Spanish). All students must be 16 years or older for ethics reasons. All materials plus notes are provided. The courses are tailored to the specific languages mentioned and include classes on sounds, structures, history and variation in language. All four classes are intended to last 40-60 mins. For further details about the project, please visit http://www.linguisticsinmfl.co.uk.
